"any non running TCS car will have a heavy throttle..." not on my 1992 9000CDT auto TCS cars. not any of the three of them. And over the 278,000 miles on "Goldie" that I've had since new... I did have the throttle body replaced about 150,000 miles ago, I did have the DI replaced (dealer misdiagnosed and did the DI first from the old style with cable - then did the TB - No Charge on the DI), and have replaced the safety valve, calibrated the TCS (I do have a TECH-II) and other items along the way. Like the car so much I purchase two used ones, whitey and blackie, I also have a 1994 9000CDE with TCS, and a 1994 9000 Aero 5speed with TCS to go along with my 1996 9000 Aero 5speed w/o TCS, (and don't get me started on the c900s I have...) but I could be wrong (listening to way too much Dennis Miller old rants). I have different experiences with other items you've mentioned, but I'll let PGAero do as he wants to do.
