The rubber line will swell internally and won't allow brake/clutch fluid to return to the master cylinder. Then, when you use the clutch again it's tight. The other problem could be the master cylinder. Did you power bleed? Pedal/pumping bleeding can sometime ruin the seal of the master cylinder because of old particals being pushed by their normal travel distance. A ridge of crude builds at the end of normal, long term pedal travel usage.
