Low Heat Resolved by Cleaning Cabin Sensor !?

I'm writing this because I'm surprised by fact that after only cleaning the cabin sensor, the heat in my cabin is absolutely adequate. It's now -27 C here. Thanks to this forum my car starts w/o problems and within about 20 mins later I have heat. I imagined that the cabin sensor would affect the ACC in Auto mode but not in Econ mode. All I have done is cleaned the cabin sensor and we're fine.
Does this sound correct? Or, could this be a coincidence - that something else worked it's self out at the same time?
Thanks again!
