I just moved to Phoenix last week and I got flashed by one of those speed cameras. I've seen 3 or 4 along I10 on either direction in/around Phoenix with ample warning with signage at half mile than again at 300 feet, but I was merging from 202 into 10 west and the camera was right there. I'm not a habitual speeder at all except I'd accelerate to pass, once I've performed the said maneuver I move with the flow of traffic(Isn't that what our turbos for?!)
I don't know how fast I was going but I was wondering what kind of fine I should expect from this ticket, will it effect my insurance rate with added points, should I bother to fight it, if so, how? My record is otherwise squeaky clean with no moving violation for the past twenty years. Thanks!
PS sorry yaofeng for using your thread!
