Thats funny, i've always found the problem to be the electrical contacts in the solenoid itself, which is sealed with a crimp. meaning a rebuild is really the only option. Never seen lube issues when i took them apart. I did find a B202 starter with a broken plastic ring gear (planetary gearset).
