New here. What to do with an old DIN slot

Hi everyone. I've Recently come into possession of a 1993 Saab 9000CSE. Everything's great about it; I feel like I'm driving a new car compared to my old truck. (The Saab has its quirks, but they're no big deal.)
So I've installed a nice Blaupunkt stereo from a few years ago, but I have the empty DIN slot where the CD player used to sit.
What I would like is a simple cover for it, like a metal plate. I couldn't find anything online like that, which is surprising. I would like to cover up the space somehow yet I would be happy to drill a couple of holes so the Blaupunkt MP3 adapter (it runs from the back) could fit through such a thing.
I've been searching for a while, and I'm at a loss about such a small aesthetic thing.
