Tread lightly. If you break one off, you're in a lot worse place than you are now.
Apply aerokroil / PB blaster, and give it plenty, and i mean PLENTY of time.
Heating the stud, isn't going to make it come out of the head, since you'll be expanding the stud, and not the hole it's stuck in. Heating a Nut, might help you get it off a stud. Heat might help loosen the studs, but only after they've cooled thoroughly. Be ware that if you quench them, you'll make them brittle. They do make special tools for stud removal.
