This first part will seem like a rant - but it's not meant to be:
I am truly disgusted with ACC.
Today - with it right around 32F here I had some comfortable heat - followed immediately thereafter by it going directly to the 'arctic blast mode' with zero driver intervention. Woof.
After numerous 9000s-> replacing cabin temp sensors-> ACC units=> and finding that at it's BEST the ACC system has a much larger margin of error than any old, cheap round thermostat.
The thing is just NASTY.
I've been round and round with this too many times for it to be random !!!
They've ALL been mostly temperamental and erratic.
Leading to a question:
Has anyone here had any experience/luck/fortune changing or adding to the electronics of this system - say with an outside thermistor or even a potentiometer ?
I've a collection of parts and simply don't want to go through 'em again to figure out if any of 'em work any better; last time this dysfunctional automation got on my last nerve I drove around with a box full of CTSFs and a couple of ACCs for a few weeks and tried all sorts of combos.
No more.
There's GOT to be a better way ???!
(NOT including spending piles of $$$ either, thanks.)
