Best to use the proper type and length tubing for the connection between the sensor and manifold. This tubing appears to be a special highly flexible type most likely selected to limit engine vibrations reaching the MAP sensor. Most pressure sensors are sensitive to vibration affecting their output signal. A MAP signal corrupted by affects of vibration could cause the ECU to read incorrect manifold pressure. Also, vibration outside of the sensor design specs can cause fatigue failure of the sensor and associated wiring.
