So, yesterday I got out of work a bit early so I would have some daylight to tinker. I got home and just for kicks I started and drove the car. No CEL (after batt disconnect) and no LHM!? I put the car through its paces and tried to trigger LHM but could not.
Today on my way to work, LHM kicked in again but it happened immeadiatly after I disengaged the cruise control. I am wondering if this is just coincidence. I tested the valve that I swapped from the fender to the firewall and it reads 30.1 ohms cool and 35.1 hot. The suspect valve that is now on the fender never read above 30 ohms, cold or hot. It was 29.1 cool and even after running the car untill it was hot it didn't read over 30 ohms? The valve itself being on the fender never really felt warm. I also tested the throttle body pins 1 and 7 when the engine was hot and it read 2.2 at 200k ohms? Not sure if I measured that correctly. I was not able to get the large intake pipe off of the throttle body to move it through its range...
I am now wondering if it was pure coincidence that the LHM came on after I used the Cruise control or if I should use that as more evidence of that valve being faulty. I will note that the valve that came off of the firewall and is now on the fender did NOT have the 1 inch piece of vaccuum hose on the breather side like it is supposed to. Could it be clogged up and causing my problems?
Any thoughts would help!
