So you're saying you've never reached 22MPG(US) with any of your 9000s? (We might as well quote US gallons, since those are the only ones still in use anywhere on planet earth.) That is pretty abysmal, but it's also absurd to say that no one is driving their 9000 because of fuel economy based on YOUR personal experience with fuel economy. You just saw a report of 31MPG, and I'm sure you've seen lots of similar reports on these boards, but for some reason they are all discounted by you, meanwhile you expect everyone to accept your statements as all-encompassing. Why should anyone do that?
I've been getting 27.3MPG with '97 Aero, mostly on the highway. It's somewhat disappointing, considering my '88 9000 was capable of 34MPG on the highway, but I'm sure the '97 is heavier, and has literally twice the power.
