Do you think that your old SRS module was defective? Or just that the "new" recycled module had been off for so long that its memory had been erased? How long has this new module been in place?
I do know that most cars around the vintage of my 1994 have potentially bad crimp connectors in the SRS wiring harness, causing an SRS fault days or weeks after the module is reset. But, I do have an extra SRS control module in the basement in case this is a cure......
