Adhesive for door panel trim? Posted by sam96CS [Email] (#852) [Profile/Gallery] (more from sam96CS) on Tue, 11 Sep 2012 08:20:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've removed the right front door panel to replace the lock actuator. The panel is covered in leather. At the top of the panel is a black plastic trim piece. The edge of the panel fits into a u-shaped channel in the trim piece. The opposite side of the trim piece contacts the window.
The previous owner or his indy was too rough with this panel, resulting in it separating from the trim piece. I've scraped out the glue residue (dried up yellow looking stuff) and want to re-glue.
I have some 3M Super 77 spray adhesive, but don't know if this is the right adhesive to use. Opinions and advice please?
