Sup guys I've been pouring over the threads here for days, and I have a thread going on two other forums as well about this. The car is a beautiful 1997 9000 Aero which I added to the SAAB stable this past May. It's been out of commission for over a month because of this ignition problem. I hope you guys can shed some insight on this one, because I'm stumped.

History: Car started fine every day. One day the spring broke in the ignition switch (electrical part) so I ordered a new one and replaced it. All was good for several months. Drove it to a parking deck in an airport where we where flying out of the country for a little vacation. Parked for a week. Came back and nothing. No start, no turnover, no crank, only a little clicking from the the relays behind the fuse box. Luckily, it's a manual so I managed to roll start it in the deck after a couple of valiant efforts. Drove it 2 hours home, no issues - parked in driveway, turned the car off, immediately tried to start it and nothing. Same clicking.

Had the battery tested and it was bad. Replaced battery. No change.

Pulled the starter and had it bench tested. Starter fired up immediately. Re-installed starter.

Replaced Ignition relay and alarm/theft relay. No change.

Replaced battery cable. No change.

I've also reset the theft system by pulling fuse 19 and doing the little key in the door dance procedure. No change.

This whole time I'm checking voltages and grounds, and everything looks good, although I can't get a good read on the yellow wire at the solenoid. It seems like I'm not getting a voltage reading there, but it's been difficult to check it under the hood and attempt to start it at the same time. Need to get the girlfriend to start it while I check again.

Could it be the new(ish) ignition switch? All dash lights illuminate when the key is turned to ON, and the clicking relay makes me think the switch is ok. Am I wrong?

Otherwise it's gotta be a broken/loose wire? This car has been well maintained and most of the wiring , engine, etc look new for a '97. Any ideas? I'm about to take it in because I can't figure this one out for the life of me.
