My father went through this on his '92 Griffin Edition. The soulution - run a wire from the yellow terminal/wire on the back of the ignition switch (accessible by pulling the under dash panel - no reason to pull the switch itself) to the yellow wire off the solenoid under the hood (you already know this one). This will bypass the neutral safety switch and the alarm system, but the car will start again. Only real problem was feeding the wire through the firewall, but not too bad. Good luck!
