I had a similar issue & concern. I improvised and back flushed the oil pick up screen. I removed crank pulley, oil pump cover, pump gears and with a hose attached to a slim funnel, I poured a cleaner through the hole coming from the oil pick up. I started by letting it soak for days. Drained pan and then started pouring solution through with drain plug out. After dozens of pours and filtering between, I got the oil preasure back. Short oil changes followed and car now runs fine. Happy ending!!!
