Super easy. Unless you tie rod ends are rust tight, then be prepared for a bit of a battle. I would replace both sides. You can get away with doing one side at a time, but for suspension stuff replacing in pairs is a good idea and the parts are cheap. A pickle fork doesn't hurt for the ball joins I guess, but I've never actually needed one (a hammer works). One tip, my replacement tie rod ends were different than the OEM ones so the old 'count the number of turns' trick didn't work. I would recommend measuring, preferable with a micrometer(the $10 HF ones are great), or an alignment afterwards is never a bad idea.
