A non-running 1993 9000 CSE/Aero can be a challenge to get and keep running, but it's worth the trouble IMO. There are not many 9000's still around so I think it's important to save where we can.
The transmission used in 1993 is swappable with those from 1991 and 1992. 1994+ transmissions are not compatible. I have spare transmissions. As mentioned already, clutch components are hard to find, but clutch discs can be rebuilt.
It is possible to keep TCS cars running... but this is best done if you have a Tech2 diagnostic tool in order to read codes and calibrate the system.
TCS removal is definitely do-able. I posted a step-by-step guide many years ago... and I am still around to help with questions that come up. Replacement of the throttle cable is "preferred" but NOT absolutely necessary. A simple extension of the current cable can be made serviceable.
TCS removal does require reprogramming of the engine ECU. It is possible to DIY this using "T5 Suite" but it's a simple task for any Saab tuner.
I don't check this board very often, so feel free to send me a direct message or find me elsewhere if you have any questions I can help with.
