Well, I bought a black 93 CSE 5-spd years ago. They had recently put $6000 into it, body panels, paint and a bunch of mechanical stuff. They had all the receipts. The car was broken and was sitting behind the garage. They guys dad got drunk and was sitting in the car with the sunroof open listening to the radio. Decided to go inside and sleep it off and the car was left that way for a couple weeks with the sunroof open. The car had several inches of water in it when it was discovered. They put it by the curb for sale, didn't run. Someone stole the cat off it while for sale. I bought it for $250. I was driving a black 94 Aero 5-spd with a crunched RR door and a nasty hood. I bought it thinking I could get it running and flip it. No dice, needed a DI and fuel pump to get it going but it ran awful. TCS light on, limp home mode. I started trying to find the TCS problem. I opened up one of the TCS computers and it was still full of water. It's located on the floor under the seat! I decided to part it out so I swapped RR doors and the hood to the 94. I think I swapped the hatch too. The front fenders were new so they ended up getting repainted Scarab Green for a 97 Aero that I owned a couple years later, I still have those fenders and they will be painted black again if I try to revive my wrecked 96 Aero. I stripped the rest of the car to the bare bones. I kept the throttle body as it seemed to work OK, the ECM, the complete cylinder head and a bunch of other stuff. You didn't mention how this 93 looked as far as rust. If the car is solid, buy it cheap and part it out. I wouldn't touch another 93 as a DD. Some people seem to be able to keep them going, but I wouldn't try. Especially if it's not running and driving now. Sorry for the long post but the story is too good to skip. :-)
