yes, on downshift, i rev, consciously, unconsciously, or semi-consciously, so it is *ahem* smooth 99% of the time. 1% of time i am distracted, mind somewhere else, and i get pitched forward LOL! don't think i have ever over-revved in my life, not that aggressive a driver i guess.

on upshift, i just naturally/habitually lift off the gas pedal, and that seems to be sufficient.

now, what is heel and toe. i suppose it means using the heel to press the gas pedal and the toe to press the brake simultaneously (or vice-versa). now the only time i had to do this regularly was when stopped on an incline and needing to go forward without falling back, on a pickup truck that i used to drive, with a dash mounted parking brake that you pull to engage.

but on 9000 with parking brake by your side, i find it easier just to use the parking brake on an incline. just rev, release clutch, and at the right moment release parking brake.

i take it that heel and toe while the car is moving is...a racing thing...?
