I started with original 205-60/15 P4000E Z-rated which lasted ~25k miles, then went to P4000 Super Touring V-rated which lasted ~40k miles, and then graduated to P6000 Sport Veloce V-rated which was easier to find, less expensive, and should last longer than the P6000. Happy with all, except for maybe the short lifetime of the P4000E, but then I don't usually drive like a maniac, and even when I do the tires feel OK.
Since Michael Smith seems to like the P6000 (not Sport Veloce) and now says (oddly) to avoid the top performance tire in a manufacturer's line, I conclude and assume that the P6000 is not the top performance tire in the Pirelli line. Since, AFAIK, P6000 is the "highest" you can get in the 205-60/15 size, this implies that one will never have to worry about getting the top performance Pirelli tire (whatever that is) in a '94 9000, for the simple reason that...you can't.
