Sticking Clutch -- Master Cylinder?

Bought a 1993 Aero one month ago from a local Saab dealer. Two month warranty. Two days ago, my clutch suddenly began to feel like it was sticking a bit -- hesitation before it would engage. About a half hour after the sticking started, I depressed the clutch while shifting gears and it stuck to the floor. I had to kick it back up. The hesitation remained for the rest of the ride, but it has happened only once briefly since (and I've driven it quite a bit).

I spoke with the dealer today, who told me that maybe the master cylinder is going. I have a service appointment early next week. My question is this: is it possible that something else is causing this? If the dealer looks the car over and "fixes" the problem or does something else other than REPLACE the master cylinder, should I trust him (I think they are decent guys) or is it just a matter of time before the master cylinder goes and I am looking at a hefty repair bill? I guess my question is, should I insist that they replace the cylinder?
