i consistently notice questionably lower than normal cranking voltage too on my '87 9000S. but it's been that way since i purchased it at 4 yrs. of age. not a concern at all. Bosch starters are the best in the industry i think. but you might verify your starter cable for corrosion, loose connection, etc. and the batt/engine grounding point. very critical. also note that the general rule when load testing a batt. is a voltage drop of no more than 10.6 for 15 sec.
