.....I sold a 265bhp Impreza to get the Saab. The P1 uses Ferodo DS2000 pads (if you know the P1 - the ultimate Impreza) and the owners swear by them. AP and Brembo often use Ferodo, but a lot of us performance motoring guys also swear by Pagid, Mintex, Greenstuff pads etc, so at the end of the day it is a matter of choice, and whatever is "fashionable" at the moment. I had Pagid Fast Road pads on my Scoob, and they suited me fine, but then again I didn't do track days, or anything completely mental.
I know the DS2000s are very "clean" pads, 'cos some P1 owners had to swap out their DS3000 pads that were throwing burning dust all down the flanks of the car, and wrecking the paint work. Have a look at the UK Ferodo website, and look under High Performance.
To sum up, I don't think you will go far wrong with Ferodo - remember, these guys have been around since 1897!!!
Hope this is of some help.
