Im my experience Bar's may be a "half-assed" fix for a bad head gasket(never had one myself), but for small leaks in radiators and heater cores, I put the stuff in and when the "fog" stops I consider it fixed for good, with periodic refill for preventative measures. I've used it in all the cars I've had with leaks (4-5) and none have shown signs of leaking after treatment. Some have gone over 100k and still no leaks. I guess I consider it a "full-assed" fix for small leaks in cores/radiators.
By meaning small leaks, I'm refering to the normal wear and tear due to expansion/contraction, etc. If you fire a 44 MAG up the front, It won't fix that.
