Richard
The new Lambda probe has been fitted. I didn't have a 18 mm spanner and my local outlets didn't have an 18mm crow's foot spanner or Lambda probe socket so my local tyre outlet/MOT centre fitted for 15 UKP (easy way out I know) He kept the car car overnight and lent me a courtesy car so he could do the job with the engine exhaust (and turbo) cold. He did a very neat job and routed the cable away from the exhaust and clipped (by using a innner tube as a protective sheath) to the radiator hose so the connections are well protected. When he removed the scruffy tape from the last one the wires were just twisted together, not soldered and had been moving 'in the breeze' and touching the hot exhaust pipe!!! So hopefully the ECU (SAAB and lpg) have got some good lambda signals to work with now. This may help the fuel economy. I have also discovered that if I run it on petrol until the check engine light goes out and then switch to lpg the check engine light will remain off (so the emulator waveform is probably good) Haven't done many miles yet so I will monitor progress.
