No box under the driver's seat, I removed the false bulkhead and found the brainbox, it's silver saab P/N 91 31 061, 70-pin connector. Looks just like the "trionic" example picture in my Haynes manual. No air-mass-meter on the intake. I have read check-engine codes by leaving the key ON for 6 seconds.
On Townsend motor's site in the list of engine variants it seems to show that all '93 Turbo's had Trionic... I don't understand this Trionic/EZK hybrid stuff, if I had that do you know where I look to see if I had the EZK box? Also when you say "L" cars or "R" cars do you mean cars with either LH ignition or Trionic? Wow this is confusing. What I basically want to know is "Is it possible that my car has the full, normal, modern 9000 Trionic System, which means that I can get an upgraded computer from any of the sites this BB's talked about?" Thanks for all the info, and I hope you'll be back upgrading engines with us soon!
