No box under the driver's seat, (then you have no EZK system but rather the combination box- on the hybrid system, the fuel injection system control box was placed here)
P/N 91 31 061, 70-pin connector.(this part number doesn't come up as a production fitted unit may be one of the interim units. 91 is the clue since all production standard boxes start with either 88 or 46) No air-mass-meter on the intake (this is the later units in 93 and up FI.
On Townsend motor's site in the list of engine variants it seems to show that all '93 Turbo's had Trionic.(this is generally correct except for the early 93s which had a mixture of boxes) I don't understand this Trionic/EZK hybrid stuff (This was because there were some production problems late in 92 after July 92 and before Jan 93), if I had that do you know where I look to see if I had the EZK box (you don't have the EZK system)? Also when you say "L" cars or "R" cars do you mean cars with either LH ignition or Trionic? (Not really, but sort of, this refers to the engine/control configurations only. which also brings along a FI configuration) Wow this is confusing. ( YES!) What I basically want to know is "Is it possible that my car has the full, normal, modern 9000 Trionic System, (I would say that you probably do have a combination trionic box system as woulkd be for 94 models and up) which means that I can get an upgraded computer from any of the sites this BB's talked about?" (I wouldn't know about that since I only use Saab authentic replacement parts, but before you do jump off the deep and into the dark take your box number to Saab and see what the cross reference/replacement part number would be) This will then pretty well tell you what would be the best box for you. This can then give you more information by which to obtain improvements)

Most of the interim boxes are/have been upgraded with production boxes when they need replacement so that will be your best bet for getting the best parts for your car. I brought my 92TSA to the states when I came and after six years had a problem with the EZK system. It two two weeks and several factory calls to determine what I should use as a replacement controller. Fortunatly my car was provided a seven year warranty on the computers and it was sorted under warranty but it took total of three weeks in the Saab hospital for sick and infirm cars! Even after all that the car didn't run as it did before and it took another couple of weeks of tweeking to get the boxes up to the level of control that had been set by SPG in Sweden, and then I was back to having Aeros for lunch again!
