You must be doing something wrong...unless there were some changes to the 92 vs the 91..which I dont think there were other than the CD player in place of the cassette. My rears took minutes to remove...maybe your trying to remove something thats unecessary ..take another look. In regard to your replacing them in the first place...I dont know the rest of your system but I too attempted to replace my rears with a set of Blaupunkts from Crutchfield hoping for dramatic results. I was VERY disappointed with the sound and lack of bass,.( yes I know the stock speakers arent great for bass either ) but dont expect a noticable improvement. I am driving them with a "high power" Blaupunkt deck...probably no where near the power needed ,, so if you dont have a separate amp to drive them you wont get what your looking for going that route. My stock rears are physically in good shape, and im happy to have them back in place of the new set. Im convinced that a single sub in the back is the way to go. Just getting the nerve up to drop 350-450 $ minimum for a very basic setup. Add this to the new deck, front speakers ,10 disc changer in the trunk and Ill easily be over 1000.00 just for , IMHO, a basic system. Highway robbery. I cant imagine the $$$$$$$$$$ someone like Aaron Gilbert must have into his system..see his website for pictures. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
