Yea, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some of the best race car drivers loose some, and there are lots of quick cars on the road now. In a drag race, if someone gets the jump on you it is pretty hard to overcome that advantage. Also temperature and humidity plays a factor in how much punch a turbo has through it's power band. If the Bimmer was not "chipped up", you would wear it out on a nice cool and crisp morning. Be careful with street racing.
