well, I E-mailed the Blaupunkt technicians about the installation of the special microphone that is supposed to read the car's internal dimensions and here's how it went...

This is what I sent them

I brought my Blaupunkt San Fransisco head unit to a specialist to have it
installed, and the installer couldn't figure out how to hook up the
microphone that is used for DNC and DSA. Could you please send me detailed
instructions on how to install the system, so that I can bring them to the
installation place and have them finish the job

And this is their reply

If you look in the install instructions at the back of the manual you will
find where the microphone plugs into the Thummer (remote) port of the
stereo. It tells you which ports to install the pins and they are numbered
in the manual as well as the matching number on the port of the Thummer.

So basically, the very well paid technicians at the wiz, who required to have an extensive education in the field, couldn't figure out how to follow simple instructions that say, "plug it in". Anybody in the north NJ area who's getting their sound system installed. Don't go to the Wiz in paramus, these guys are not to swift.

Oh, and they also ended up disconnecting my cruise control, too.
