As Bob says, just flushing the radiator out doesn't clear out the cooling system. Ideally, you pull the thermostat out, then pull a hose off the radiator. Run clear water into the hose as old coolant runs out the radiator. Continue until the water runs clear. Now you've flushed both the radiator and engine. Put in a new thermostat, then drain the engine and radiator of water. There is a plug on the radiator AND one on the engine.
Now the radiator is empty, and the engine mostly empty of water (some will remain). Look in the manual to see the capacity of the cooling system, and divide that number in half. Put that much antifreeze in, straight from the bottle. Now, add water until the system is full. You'll have a 50-50 mix.
