1992 9000 Turbo 5 speed, Can someone give me an answer on what Saab estimates is the estimated time needed to replace, a head gasket, head, thermostat, timing chain, and failed ignition cassette,
Is this an estimated flat rate time of 10 hours for the replacement or 12, 16 hours ????
I am tryng to get a better handle on how many hours I should have been charged for, again this is approximatly. Just trying to keep my dealer honest, they claim the haed cannot be resurfaced as it is off .21 thousandths of an inch at center, and the most they will try to resurface / re-planned at, is no more then .11 thousandths, are they being honest with me?
thus I am having the head replaced not just the head gasket replaced ,I think I had an over heating problem but it happened so fast one minute the car was running the next it was dead, turns out the ignition cassette failed, well it would trying to to get extra spark to an engine with no compression, and cylinders full of radiator fluid. anyone wth a similar story out there?
Thanks jeffrey
