It's going to be interesting to see what you get on feedback here, The post is getting pushed down the page and nothing yet.
Anyway... I would strongly suspect some form of air leakage between the Airmass meter and the intake manifold. Because you said hard acceleration, I have to ask did you hear a whoosh or feel a drop in power when coming up the ramp? You could have blown a large turbo hose or split the hoses at the AIC valve. It sounds as if it's getting air, compensating with fuel, deciding it's all wrong and starting the whole thing over. The older (900's ) used to be sensitive to even having the oil stick become loose. I once blew a hose right off the turbo (9000) after I "forgot" to tighten a clamp enough. The behavior was similar to what you describe.
On the other side assuming everything checks out "airwise", and if you can not find anything else, try a known good AMM and then a known ECU before you start buying parts. I bought too many over the last few weeks as I tried to deny the overwhelming symptoms of a bad "Brain" "the car's not mine, although some would argue the point). It was the Brain and the symptoms were similar to what you describe but worse, and also sudden, no warning or gradual decrease in performance. CW
