Sunroof doesn't stop in closed position

When my sunroof is open, and I push forward on the button to close it, the motor does not stop in the closed position. Instead, it passes the closed position, then transitions right into the tilt position. When I try to close the sunroof from the tilt position, it does the same thing - the motor does not stop in the closed position.
This little problem can be annoying when I need to shut the sunroof to a sealed position. Any ideas on how to solve it?
