My '96 Aero was a fleet car (driven by a company managing director) for its first three years, during which it clocked up about 112K miles. I am the second owner, the first being Saab Contract Hire here in the UK (the fleet hire company). It had a full Saab service history. I have no complaints. Some of the usual things were starting to wear out a bit - new engine mountings at around 140K miles - but nothing I could attribute to neglect. The Saab dealer I bought it from also covered it with a year's warranty, under which I had some little things replaced.
This is my third 9000 and the best car I have ever owned. I was amazed at its tightness and handling (and, of course, power) when I test-drove it - on nearly bald Michelin Pilots, replaced with new P6000s all round before I picked it up.
My personal opinion is that a lease or contract hire vehicle will receive better maintenance, on average, than a privately-owned one. Many private owners are extremely diligent about maintaining their cars, but many more are not, especially as the miles start to pile up.
