it shakes horribly. Sitting in the car at idle I can feel the car shuddering through the steering wheel, the floor, and everything else. (All the little plastic pieces on the dash resonate with the engine-- it is LOUD). The best way to describe it is that it's like when you're in gear and not giving it enough gas, that 'about to stall' shuddering. The idle revs seem typical, just below 1000 but perhaps a little bouncier than before (maybe it's just that I can feel it now).
With the car stopped in neutral it shakes badly. The shaking stops at 1400 revs and is replaced by a heartbeat of sorts (far less noticeable). At 2000, all shaking/heartbeat is gone. Also, I popped the hood while it was at idle and the fan is switching on and off every thirty seconds or so. Engine temp is normal.
It's a 1993 9000 CSE Turbo and I just picked it up 20 minutes ago. The top motormounts and the control arm (wishbone) bushings were replaced with SuperFlex (how much should this cost me? I ordered/paid for the bushings myself). The mechanic wasn't there, so I'm going back around 4 to pay him. What should I ask? What should I request? What the hell is wrong with my car? It feels like a piece of absolute JUNK at low revs but the shifting is much improved.
Thanks, I appreciate all your help.
Nate
