Spoke to the U.S. SuperFlex distributor (The Car Orphange-- Do a search), and he said (after a disclaimer): "I could try 8 equally spaced holes parallel to bore of the pin. A quarter inch to 3/8 of an inch max through the meat of it. Start with quarter inch or 5/16 of an inch. Use a high speed drill and a drill bit with a shallow angle." I didn't get the impression that he'd ever been asked about this sort of thing (or that he knew anything about it), but I've got nothing to lose.
Anyone have anything else to add? The mounts on the Abbott website have 3 holes in them, I'm thinking this would accomplish the same thing.
Thanks,
Nate
