I "fixed" my ACC(88 9kt) 2 weeks ago by replacing the fan motor controller. worked for about a week, then would only work on 'hi'. Actually the fan would start to blow if you pushed the hi button after starting the car, then you could push the Auto or manually slow the fan speed to whatever desired. It then quit altogether. I ran a wire fron the battery to the fan motor and it works fine. I put the old fan controller back in (that didn't work at all) and it would do the same 'hi' thing. Then the new one worked again, briefly. I'm guessing that there's some dirty connection(s) or bad ground somewhere as the failures directly coincided with damp weather. Also, I tried 2 ACC head units at the junkyard on Sat., they did the 'hi' thing too. Are there any other weak links anyone has had troubles with?
