Lower temperature cooling fan switch

I have recently found out that my Lower temperature cooling fan switch is bad (thanks to quasi!). I was just wondering if anyone had any objections to me just wiring it to run all the time. I understand that the only reason the switch is there is to determine what the temp is, then adjust/turn the fan on accordingly. The only advantage I see to this is that the car will heat up quicker on the inside during winter times when you will need it because the fan will not be going when you first start up. What do yall think about me just wiring the high speed wire to the ground wire to make the fan run at high speed all the time, when the car is on. I think that almost every other car besides the saab does this... Just let me know what you think. I don't mind buying the part, I just was wondering why have a part in there that might go bad and cause your car to overheat when you can prevent it altogether?
