My SAAB mechanics tells me that the auto box is subject to vibration at idle after model year 1993. My automatic 1998 model 9K CSE (the last model year, which is apparently equivalent to an auto Aero) is suberb, even with the slight vibration at idle. 0-100 kph in approximately 7 seconds (one mississipi, two mississipi etc). Subjectively better than the 9-5 Aero auto loaner that I drove recently (not the latest 240 bhp). The mechanics insist it's good for at least 200,00 km unless the engine is chipped for enhanced torque (quite frankly there's enough of that). Good luck.
