Quite a bit of water is dribbling down the side of the block onto the ground. Also there is oil that is seeping out of the hole as well. As far as whether it overheats, it does not appear so. There is a water temp gauge that would climb to about 210 to 220 degree's at the most. It seems hotter than normal, but I'm not sure if that is excessive?

I was sure to stop it often and refill it with water (on my way taking it to my sisters house from the seller). Also, I rigged the radiator fan to blow continuously to ensure maximum cooling.

I called J&B and they were VERY helpful. They seemed very confident and capable of doing the water pump job with style and ease. Plus they quoted me about the same or slightly less than the the other guy, but the other guy sounded a bit shady and too desparate for the job. I definitly had confidence in J&B.

Also, Saab of Santa Monica is checking out the availability of the special pump removal tool. That would be the best case scenario in my book. I'm confident in my ability to get the job done right if I had that tool. They will let me know tomorrow morning.

If nothing pans out with finding the tool, I will most likely take my 99 to J&B and hopefully get it started tomorow. Thanks again for all your helpful tips and ideas. Keep them coming if you have any additional ideas. I'll continue posting the progress.
