Most 99's that entered the states had fuel injection. 69-74 had electronic fuel injection(d-jet), 75-80 used mechanical fuel injection(k-jet or CIS). If it is a GL, it would have to be 76 and up.

Below is carolina blue > used from 73-76 = no dimple....I think 78 was the first year for the dimple, cus my 77 didn't have it.

Some other 99 blues through the years > middle blue from 70-72, astral blue in '77, laguna blue in '78, midnight blue II in 79-80, aquamarine blue in 79-80.....but I think the last two were C-900 colors only.

I had a great site bookmarked that showed a very professional looking firewall mod, but the URL is no longer active. The guy cut a square hole in the firewall and welded in a recessed plate.
