It actually started out as a fun project, but the deeper I dig, the more things I find that need fixed. This car needs everything re-done!
I like doing the metal work, but detest the bondo work. Even at work I avoid the big jobs that need dents filled > plus the other guy I work with is alot faster doing those types of jobs. I even offered to pay him to come over and help out in that area, since bad fill work really stands out on a great paint job.
When I first started doing bodywork on Saabs, pop riveting patches was the way we did it. Since alot of the panels on 99's are build for strngth in a collision, welding is the only way to go> and mig welding is not hard to learn how to do. Just point the gun and pull the trigger.
