DougM very disappointing to be sure, the only thing I kept was the Left thread nut. As stated earlier and many times on this forum, the fine tooth aux shaft is 100% reliable providing you pull the shaft out befor doing water pump. Please be kind as I am not jumping on your misfortune, but Look at the labor correography now, one would have been much better off doing a water pump job the long way to begin with. I also reused the original shaft so mesh pattern's are equal. I also reused the OEM impellor after turning down the face to a finish that was satisfactory. Remember that the seal is spring loadup to push up giving tension, so the .005- .010 thousand turned or polished off the seal face of the old impellor, means nothing compared to the seal compressive spring loading push of .2 of an inch.
