I just can't figure it out

My 69 95 V4 started running rough a few days ago and I just can't figure out what the problem is. It won't idle and it runs rough at constant throttle. It will pull ok for a bit under acceleration but then quickly sputters and if the revs drop then it quits. It is equipped with a Pertronix ignitor and a blue coil. I have replaced both (back to the points) in the last few days with no change in performance. It does not have a low voltage problem. The timing is good. I've replaced plugs, plug wires, distributer cap and rotor. I want to say it is electrical but I can't find anything wrong. I've checked fuel pressure, changed filters and the delivery system seems fine. Perhaps it is bad fuel. I put some dryer in the tank and filled with fresh gasoline. I've driven it about 25 miles with no change in performance. It has a single barrel weber and I pulled the top off of it and cleaned all the jets and checked the float level. Here is one clue. When it runs rough I can give it a bit of the manual choke (say 30%) and it smooths out. I believe this tells me it is running lean. But why? It was running perfect one day and rotten the next.
