I would say if the ignition system is good( make certain the points are adjusted properly, and if they are not any air leaks( manifold, brake booster,pcv valve) then take off the Fomoco and throw it in the trash! Buy a Weber 34ich, manual choke. As fo rthe ignition, get rid of the points and buy a petronix unit. These in my humble opinion are the best things one can do for these old gems.
