Check the motor mounts (especially the rear transmission mount), check all the things on the engine that are hard to get to (starter, water pump, rear main seal) for loose bolts or leaks, clean and re-lube the inner CV joints (be careful not to lose the little needle bearings) and check the inner CV joint boots - now is the time to change them if there is a problem. Check (and change if necessary) the three external seals on the tranny (the two driver seals and the clutch shaft) - they are fairly cheap and easy to change at this time. Check the two driver cups for wear and reverse them if necessary. Check the fuel line that runs under the engine and change the fuel filter. Check all the engine compartment wiring for cracked or worn insulation. Check for hidden rust in the rear of the engine compartment and on the shock towers. Check the battery tray for spilled acid and clean it out before it has a chance to eat through the paint and start to rust. This might be a good time to rebuild the clutch master and slave cylinders.
