Hello Larry,
Glad your clutch worked out okay. I wonder how Parkhurst made out with his oil pressure problem.
By the way, another local (KY) saabnet member and I found out that some 2-stone hones are not small enough to do the clutch master. My hone is an Ammco (sp?) and it does work, but some only go down to about 11/16 inch, which is not small enough for the master.
Sometime I should pull the trans on my '73 96 and check that nut. I do have a bit of final drive gear noise in it. But, when I pull it, I have a bunch of other work to do at the same time. I don't want to start until I'm prepared to do it all. I rarely drive it because if you look in the folds of the CV boots, they are starting to split. Also, I only keep one special interest car insurance policy, and at the moment it is on my MGB GT.
Let me know if you find the link on the pinion nut.
