The industry term is NVH, Noise, Vibration, Harshness. No vintage SAAB will ever approach the quietness of a new Lexus, obviously.
Point One: How do you identify the noise that troubles you? Powertrain, Exhaust, Wind, or What? All of these can be addressed to reduce their contributions to what troubles you. Sensible approach to the problem requires some analysis to figure out what to do next.
Your question is so general that I could type for a couple of hours to give you all my ideas. Search Barium Loaded Vinyl for one avenue. Search Jack Ashcraft for another, particularly regarding the rear transmission mount. If you are suffering Exhaust system noise, possibly the exhaust has been changed from stock to a noisier system in favor of better performance.
Your posts lack detail for me to help you accurately. I will try to help if you can provide good information.
